Mr. Brian See - ‘See’ what he has been through to be at the top of the game

Posted on September 6, 2023

Brian See or better known by many of his followers by his Instagram tag ‘MrBrianSee’ is a full-time influencer. Present since the ice age of influencer marketing, Brian plans to be on top of the influencer game, and to stay on top with the help of his followers.

Pictures of food, lifestyle, and fashion all well out together. Who could say NO to that?

SushiVid: Have you plan on being an Influencer or did it just come naturally?

Brian: Having a degree in Public Relations & Event Management I have never actually planned on being an influencer because I never thought that it would be a profession. It actually started with blogging, because at that time everyone was into blogs.  So, since everyone was blogging I wanted to blog too. There were also Facebook and Instagram and I basically just did what everyone did by posting pictures. But eventually it lead me to a different part of my life.

SushiVid: Do you plan on expanding on different platforms in the future, why?

Brian: Definitely, because I feel that we cannot just stay on one platform. I also feel that currently Youtube is a very effective platform and a lot of people are spending time there. This is said because videos are now more interactive compared to just words and pictures. I am also currently making my own song called ‘Now’, which will come out soon because I don’t want to constrain myself and I want to try something new.

SushiVid: What are some goals that you wish to achieve in the next five years as an influencer?

Brian: I would not usually constrain my goals in achieving something because by being an influencer, maybe I would do this for just one, three, or even five years down the road but I don’t know what the future holds. My ultimate life goal would be to experience more. But as an influencer my goal is to inspire as many people in the future. But not just being an influencer, I would also want to start my own business or set foot in the music industry.

SushiVid: How do you deal with haters?

Brian: When I first started blogging, there were definitely those haters/ Keyboard warriors that would try to condemn me and provide negative energy, which would actually affect me. But now I choose to ignore them because I just want positive energy and good vibes in my life. If there are haters then there are also a lot of followers that support me, and I should only focus on those that support me as well as what I am passionate about.

SushiVid: Are there any other influencers that inspire your content?

Brian: Of course there are. Instagram is such a big platform where we are exposed to international influencers with content that I think is very inspiring. Marc Forne is definitely one who inspires me. But I also get inspiration from many different platforms like magazines or even movies I have watched. But getting inspired is one thing, I do not want to copy someone, because I feel that as an influencer I would have to be authentic. I feel that we can try to get inspired, but we should not copy someone else because we won’t be who we really are.

SushiVid: What is the most remarkable experience you had as an influencer?

Brian: The most remarkable experience would be able to meet a lot of inspiring people. Being an influencer is not easy, and I believe that if you are someone that is influential from whichever industry, I think that it is very remarkable for me to meet and learn a lot of things from them. As well as the experience to travel around the world to see different cultures.

SushiVid: As a long term influencer, how do you plan to stay relevant in competing with today’s uprising influencers?

Brian: I would not say that I would like to compete, because each influencer has their own specialty. So, of course there are many uprising influencers that might make creative content which I can also learn something from. But I feel that it is very important to not compete with someone but to compete with myself and to create what’s outside of my comfort zone to improve myself.

SushiVid: What are some tips you wished you were given when you first started?

Brian: No specific tip actually, because I wouldn’t say that there are any extra tips I want when I first started. Along the way, there was definitely right and wrong, but I feel that the wrongs have taught me a lot in being someone better and to improve myself. Although, I do want to tell myself to keep going and to never give up no matter how challenging life can be.

SushiVid: Have you heard of SushiVid?

Brian: Yes, I have. They are a digital marketing company and they did approach me before but sadly we never had a chance to make both ends meet, but it is definitely something I wish would happen in the near future.
